Facts about Rosacea

February 29, 2012 Posted by ma

Adult acne Rosacea is a skin disorder that affects the middle part of the face, the areas around the nose, forehead and chin. In some of the Rosacea pictures, one might notice how some patients have a completely reddened eye, with just the pupil visible. Rosacea is most common in women (especially during menopause), people with fair skin, and adults between the ages of 30 and 60. It does get worse once the skin ages. Doctors don’t know the exact cause of Rosacea, but some think that the condition happens when blood vessels expand too easily, causing flushing. Rosacea symptoms can include facial flushing, facial redness, spots, thickening of the skin, and eye problems such as dry eyes and sore eyelids. Because Rosacea can look like conditions ranging from sunburn to acne, it’s important to see a dermatologist to get a diagnosis. Although there is no total cure for Rosacea, there are several medications, topical and internal that can help to keep the condition under control. As a conclusion, Rosacea is one of those skin conditions where the picture it paints on the skin of the patient is much worse than the illness itself.

About hair growth

February 23, 2012 Posted by lu

Both physical and mental stress could potentially cause you to have hair loss. New hair follicle bulb cells are then produced at the beginning of the subsequent hair growth cycle.
But it also seems reasonable to ask why human society would spend precious biomedical research effort and limited funds on hair loss treatments, when deadly and debilitating conditions such as AIDS, cancer, diabetes, and heart disease also need solutions.
This sort of damage is most often caused by exogenous chemicals used to alter the physical characteristics of the hair shaft (hair dye, etc.), but certain genetic diseases can alter its strength and durability.
The best prevention of hair loss is early treatment. Research has shown that minoxidil is most useful for people who have been losing hair for less than five years.

Flu treatment for pregnent women

February 22, 2012 Posted by oa

Antibiotics are not prescribed for flu as they have no effect on viruses. Moreover the swine flu treatment for pregnant women should not wait for laboratory diagnosis and must be started as soon as possible. Because homeopathic remedies are prescribed to the specific set of symptoms rather than a broadly labeled condition, you do not need to worry about whether you are confusing cold or flu: homeopathy will treat the symptoms as they present.
The two main classes of antiviral drugs used against influenza are neuraminidase inhibitors, such as zanamivir and oseltamivir, or inhibitors of the viral M2 protein, such as amantadine and rimantadine. Most of these home remedies have been used to treat flu symptoms for generations, and may help ease your symptoms as your body fights the flu virus.

Forbidden names

The amount of people involved in a baby’s life can lead to some craziness when it comes to naming! There is a whole list of names that are banned. Here’s a name the Pope definitely wouldn’t approve of. In 1993 a Japanese parent called his son Akuma (which literally means Devil). Here are some of the names (and weirdly specific name combinations) Portuguese parents are not allowed to give their babies: Albuquerque, Anouchka, Argo Demetrius, Ashanti, Babilónia, Ben-Hur, Brunei, Cheyenne, Claret, Coltrane (jazz musician), Brilhante (Portuguese for brilliant), Britta Nórdica, Chianda Kady, Dmitri, Dmitriy, Dmitro, Do Sorriso, Farley, Faruk, Fraternidade, Giana Lai, Hendrix, Imperatriz. But not everyone is convinced that the trend for non-traditional nomenclature is good for children. It seems that some people with very common names sometimes feel that they aren’t unique enough.
